Orthopaedic Post-Graduate Fellowship
A Research Fellowship in Total Joint Replacement is being offered to members of the international orthopaedic community by the Anderson Orthopaedic Post-Graduate Fellowship, a private, not-for-profit organization. The fellowship offers the opportunity to participate in clinical and biomechanical research related to total joint replacements, particularly cementless, porous-coated total hip replacements. A minimum of 12 months in length, the Fellowship may be extended to 24 months upon mutual agreement.
The fellow will work closely with Charles A. Engh, M.D., a pioneer in the development of porous-coated hip implants, at the Anderson Orthopaedic Institute near Washington, DC. Working in conjunction with the staff of the Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute (AORI), the fellow will have access to a histology laboratory with postmortem retrieved specimens, an extensive radiographic library, and a comprehensive clinical outcomes database. Database administrators, biomechanical engineers, laboratory technicians, and an editor are available to assist the fellow on research projects. (See AORI's current research publications.)

They should have a strong interest in research related to total joint arthroplasty, particularly total hip replacements. Those aspiring to academic careers may be ideal candidates.
